Not just anybody (help)

So I cannot figure out how to change the position of my links or 'things I like'. They are at the bottom of the page rather than the side. Help me but don't give me a line about how easy and obvious it is, I'll just ignore you and hold a grudge against you that will make it uncomfortable for both of us at parties or a chance run-in in the street.
